Terms of use

Last updated: October 2, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the operator of Anypoll for using anypoll.com and its services. Anypoll is currently operated by Anytrade Markets, Inc., 1000 N West St, Suite 1200, Wilmington, DE 19801, USA ("we", "us"). Anypoll will move to its own independent entity, and donations will be handled by a separate nonprofit, the Anypoll Foundation. When that happens, the new entity will take over these terms and we will tell you. By creating an account or voting, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

The short version

  • One person, one account, one vote per poll. No bots, fake accounts or bought votes.
  • Your individual votes stay private. Only totals are published.
  • Impact points and badges have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money.
  • Poll results are a snapshot of what verified voters said, not advice and not a guarantee.
  • Results are final once a poll closes, because they are used to settle markets elsewhere.

Who can use Anypoll

You must be at least 13 years old to use Anypoll, and at least 18 to fill in the voter profile. If you are under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), you may only use Anypoll with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you. You may not use Anypoll if the law where you live forbids it, or if you are subject to sanctions that prohibit you from receiving services from the United States.

Your account

  • You may have only one account. You sign in through one of the sign-in options we offer and confirm a mobile number that belongs to you and that you control.
  • Internet and virtual phone numbers are not accepted, and a number can only be linked to one account.
  • The year of birth, country and state you give us must be true. They are used to keep Anypoll for people aged 13 and over and to make results representative.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens in your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed it.

Voting

  • You can cast one vote in each poll. While a poll is open you can change your answer; only your latest answer counts.
  • Many polls are sealed: until they close, only the number of votes is shown, not the split by answer.
  • Vote for what you actually think. You may not offer, accept or ask for money, points or anything else of value in return for voting a certain way, or for getting others to vote a certain way.
  • You may not use bots, scripts, multiple accounts, other people's phone numbers, or any other means to cast more than one vote per person or to influence results artificially.

Results and how they are used

Results are published as totals only, never with names, and small groups (fewer than 100 people) are not reported. Results may be weighted by age group, place and, where people have chosen to share it, voter profile, so that they better represent the population. Results reflect what verified voters said; they are not a scientific survey, a forecast or professional advice, and we do not guarantee that they are complete or accurate.

Anypoll results are used to settle opinion markets on Anytrade, a separate planned trading platform, and may be licensed in aggregated form to media, researchers and other partners. We may remove votes that break these terms. When a poll closes, its published result is final, unless we find an error or manipulation, in which case we may correct it and will say so on the poll's page.

Impact points, badges and the leaderboard

You earn Impact points and badges for taking part, for example for voting, for friends who join through your invite link and confirm their number, and, once donations open, for donating. Points and badges show your standing in the community. They have no cash value, can't be sold, transferred, exchanged or redeemed for money, prizes or anything else, and are not property. We may change how points are earned, and remove points or badges gained by breaking these terms. You appear on the public leaderboard under your public name unless you choose to hide.

Impact Treasury and donations

The Impact Treasury is run by the Anypoll Foundation, a separate nonprofit, and is funded by part of Anypoll's revenue and, once donations open, by voluntary donations. Voters help decide which initiatives it supports. These votes and proposals guide the Foundation's decisions; the Foundation makes the final decision on which organizations receive funds and how much, in line with the law and its non-profit purpose. Donations are voluntary and non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise, and nothing is ever paid back to donors or voters. Donations are not tax-deductible unless we tell you otherwise at the time you donate.

Poll suggestions and other things you send us

You can suggest polls, propose Impact Treasury initiatives and choose a public name. You keep ownership of what you send, and you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, perpetual license to use, edit, publish and adapt it to run and promote Anypoll. We review suggestions and may edit, reject or remove them at our discretion. You must not send anything that:

  • is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit, or encourages violence;
  • targets or names a private individual, or contains anyone's personal information;
  • infringes someone else's rights, or is spam or advertising;
  • impersonates any person or organization.

Using the site fairly

You must not interfere with Anypoll or its security, try to access data or accounts that aren't yours, abuse verification codes or text messages, scrape or bulk-download the site or its data, or reverse engineer it, except as the law expressly allows. Results may be quoted and shared with attribution ("Source: Anypoll", with a link). Commercial use of Anypoll data beyond that, such as data feeds, needs a license from us.

Our content

The Anypoll name, logo, site, software and poll content belong to us or our licensors. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond using Anypoll as intended.

Emails and text alerts

Email updates and text alerts are optional. The text alerts terms apply if you sign up for texts. We may send you messages about your account and important changes even if you have not signed up for updates.

Other services

Anypoll relies on other services, such as sign-in providers, and links to other sites, including Anytrade. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

Suspension and closing your account

You can delete your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close an account, remove votes or points, or limit access if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, to protect the integrity of results, or if the law requires it. Votes already counted in closed polls stay in those totals, without being linked to you.

Changes to Anypoll and to these terms

Anypoll is in beta. We may change, add or remove features, polls and rules at any time. If we change these terms in an important way, we will tell you on the site or by email before the change applies. If you keep using Anypoll after that, the new terms apply.

Disclaimers

Anypoll is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that Anypoll will be uninterrupted or error-free, or about the accuracy of any poll, result or user content. Nothing on Anypoll is financial, legal or other professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Anypoll, including any decisions you make based on poll results. Our total liability for any claim relating to Anypoll is limited to the greater of the amount you donated through Anypoll in the 12 months before the claim and US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law, and a third party makes a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, to the extent the law allows.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you live in the EU, UK or another country whose laws give you the right to bring claims in your local courts or to rely on your local consumer protection laws, these terms don't take that away.

General

These terms, the privacy policy and the text alerts terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Anypoll. We may transfer these terms to a separate Anypoll entity or to a successor operating Anypoll. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
